Een dipje na de lunch? Veel mensen hebben last van een lunchdip. Met onderstaande tips ben je ook na de lunch zo fris als een hoentje! Er zijn meerdere redenen waarom je een vermoeider kunt worden na de lunch. Ten eerste zorgt je biologische klok ervoor dat je lichaamstemperatuur daalt tussen 14.00 en 16.00 uur. Hierdoor wordt er meer van het hormoon melatonine aangemaakt waardoor je slaperig wordt.

Een after lunchdip wordt vooral veroorzaakt door energiedips. Die kun je voorkomen door een aantal voedingsstoffen te mijden. Vooral veel koolhydraten, suikers en transvetten zijn uit den boze. Die zorgen er namelijk voor dat er een piek ontstaat in de bloedsuikerspiegel. En om energiedips te voorkomen is het belangrijk om sterke pieken en diepe dalen te voorkomen en je bloedsuikerspiegel stabiel te houden.

Vet ongezond? Niet altijd! Voeg voldoende gezonde vetten en eiwitten toe aan je lunch. Dit zorgt voor een verzadigd gevoel.

Kies voor volkoren producten zoals volkoren brood en –pasta, zilvervliesrijst, quinoa, zoet aardappelen, havermout en boekweit.
